Are you experiencing sound problems with the QCY QS1 or QS2, the SoundPEATS TrueFree or TrueFree Plus, or Dudios Zeus Air or Dudios Zeus Ace?
Is one earpiece louder than the other? Do you hear a slight hiss? Here's how to reset the earphones - and hopefully fix your problems.
After publishing my review on the excellent QCY QS2, I received multiple questions of people struggling with the left earbud sounding softer than the right one after a few weeks of using. Also, there seem to be people that suddenly hear a slight hiss underneath the sound.
Happily, there seems to be a fix for the problems by resetting the wireless earphones It works for the ones I've explained it to this far. Of course, that's no guarantee for anyone, but I hope this works for you too.
1. Models with the problems
The models that cope with this loudness problem and hissing sound issue, are available under different brand and model names, such as:
- Dudios Zeus Ace TWS
- Dudios Zeus Air TWS
- QCY QS1
- QCY QS2
- QCY T1c
- QCY T2
- SoundPEATS TrueFree
- SoundPEATS TrueFree+
- SoundPEATS TrueFree Plus
Does the problem occur on one of this models? Move on to step two.
2. How to reset the earphones and fix the issues?
Here's a five-step plan I hope fixes your issues as well:
Remove every existing link to the earphones in your Bluetooth list.
(for example QCY T1c_R)Hold the buttons on both earpieces for 50 (!) seconds. This will reset them.
Put them back in the charging case.
Take them out again.
Find and connect to your earphones again in the Bluetooth list.
Hopefully, if you connect to your earphones this time, they work as new again.
Did this work for you? Please share your experiences in the comments.
