Welcome to Scarbir.com! In the last years, I've tested and reviewed 458+ different affordable wireless earbuds (TWS), ranging from 10 to 150 dollars. All earbuds are tested extensively and rated on features, sound quality, phone calls and video calls, battery life, comfort, and controls.

For this Buying Guide, I've selected around 80 of the most comfortable budget wireless earbuds tested on this site, and tested them specifically on sleeping comfort for my average-sized ears. Two other testers (one with shallow ear canals, one with smaller ears) also tested them laying on their sides with the earbuds in.

The earbuds were tested with the following questions in mind:

  • Do the earbuds allow comfortable sleeping on your side, without the need of a support hand?

  • Can the volume go low enough?

  • Does the battery last an entire night?

  • Do they reduce noise around you to help you sleep?

  • Are voices in podcasts and ASMR sound effects clearly audible?

Currently, there are only TWO wireless earbuds that tick al the boxes. Therefore, this is a different kind of Buying Guide than usual. There's one absolute top recommendation under $100, and a great runner-up if you want to save yourself some money.

Here are the best best cheap sleeping earbuds under $100 and $50, updated for June 2025:

1. Best wireless sleep earbuds under $100: Soundcore Space A40

Comfort, Noise Cancelling, fantastic battery life

The Soundcore Space A40 can not only help you sleep, but save you sleep too. It's comfortable enough to lay on, its battery easily lasts an entire night, and its Active Noise Cancelling reduces many sounds around you.

It's THE pair of earbuds under $100 I recommend for sleeping.

I rarely get personal in my Buying Guides, but let this be the exception. The Soundcore Space A40 is always with me in an overnight bag. Whether it's for an airplane flight, a trip with friends, or in a crowded hostel: this earphone always helps me falling asleep. The oval earpieces don't stick out the ears too much, and while you can feel them while wearing, the earpieces don't feel too big or piercing.

With my average-sized ears, I can even manage to sleep on my side without the need of a support hand.

But that's not the only reason the Space A40 is brilliant. These 80 dollars pair of earbuds has solid Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) that can heavily reduce sounds like snoring, and even completely remove softer noise. I've had hostel nights in which I didn't even hear roommates move in and out of the dorm room!

That's not all - because after around seven hours of sleeping with the ANC on (and music off), the earbuds still have 60 to 70% battery left! It will be less when you're also playing background music, but don't worry: these will get you through the night.

Apart from the sleep performance, there's plenty more to like about the Soundcore. It's IPX4 splashproof, supports USB-C and wireless charging, and the charging case can recharge the earbuds five times fully before it needs new power itself.

The touch controls are responsive, and can be altered via the free Soundcore app for iPhone and Android phones. That includes the option to disable long presses, which is fantastic - it means you don't accidentally trigger controls when you're moving on a cushion.

Finally, the Space A40 is a pleasure to listen to. Lower tones are slightly boosted and give the music warmth, while instruments like guitars and piano play and vocals sound natural and full, and treble rolls off before it becomes sharp. It's all supported by a relatively tight and deep bass, and details that come from your left and right.

With its comfortable fit, fantastic battery life, solid Active Noise Cancelling, and great sound quality, the Soundcore Space A40 isn't just great for sleeping. These are wonderful all-around earbuds for everyday use too.

2. Best wireless sleeping earbuds under $50: Redmi Buds 6 Play

Great comfort, 7,5 hours of battery life, 20 dollars!

The Redmi Buds 6 Play is an incredible pair of wireless earbuds for the smallest budgets. It shines with long battery life, a vivid sound and a sleep-proof fit.

The comfort of the Redmi Buds 6 Play is outstanding. These earbuds are delightfully small and provide an comfortable fit in average and smaller sized ears.

They barely stick out of the outside of your ears and this makes them comfortable enough to sleep on your side with, even without the support of an arm.

The Redmi Buds 6 Play also offers 7,5 hours of playtime on a single charge - and even longer when you play on the lowest volumes. That means these have the comfort and the battery to get you through a night.

When you need more battery, a quick 10 minute charge can top up 3 new hours of listening time.

For its incredible 20 dollar price point, the Redmi Buds 6 Play doesn't offer Active Noise Cancelling to dampen sounds around you. Still, its good fit already reduces a bit of noise around you. And there are more great features for sleeping.

For instance, you can change the controls to your liking via the Xiaomi Earbuds app for Android and iPhone. This includes volume controls and the option to disable single touches, which prevents accidental controls.

Another great feature is the sound quality. With the default equalizer, the Redmi Buds 6 Play impresses with a tight bass, clean lower mid-tones, and clear yet controlled treble.

Singing vocals and speaking voices sound super crisp on these, making it easy to follow podcasts, audiobooks or videos on even the lower volumes. You can also set these from very loud to very soft - another great sleeping feature.

Lastly, it's safe to take a phone call or enter a video conference with them. You can rock these during the day just as easy as during the night.

This level of comfort, great battery life and an impressive sound for 20 dollars make the Redmi Buds 6 an outstanding deal in general, and a fantastic choice for sleeping earbuds.

3. Runner-up for sleeping earbuds under $50: Tozo Crystal Buds

Includes app with relaxing sounds

For about half of the price of the Soundcore Space A40, the Tozo Crystal Buds rocks an all-night battery life… and an app with relaxing sounds.

The Tozo Crystal Buds is easy to wear for extended periods. The triangular inside follows the shape of your ears nicely, and due to the flat outer surfaces, these earbuds don't stick out too much. It's possible to sleep on your side with these - but as the ear tips dive in your ears deeper than on the Soundcore and the FiiTii HifiAir mentioned below, you might need arm support for the most comfortable fit.

What's great, is that you don't have to worry about the battery life. It lasts around 9 hours on a single charge - and that's when you're playing music on moderate volume! It lasts even longer when you listen to your music softly. The big difference here is that the Crystal Buds doesn't have Active Noise Cancelling to quieten your surroundings.

It is, however, excellent for sleeping in with background music, podcasts, audiobooks and ASMR. That's because the sound of this Tozo produces very natural mid-tones and has a slight emphasis on treble, which means that vocals sound clear and rich. It can go soft enough too, letting you sleep in easily.

Prefer your music loud? No problem. The Crystal Buds sounds good, still displaying instruments and vocals crisp and clear, while also adding a decent bass slap and even rumbling sub-bass. While you're at it, you may as well workout or run with these: the IPX8 waterproof rating protects them from heavy rain and sweat, and even the shower afterwards.

While you may want to avoid taking a phone call or game with the Crystal Buds, these earbuds do come with a pleasant surprise at their 40 dollars price. Tozo supports them with a free Android and iPhone app, that includes a dozen of relaxing soundscapes, like waves crashing into a beach, rain in a forest or soothing night sounds. Okay, they're quite short and you may be better off finding comparable material on your favourite streaming service, but as you can either loop those sounds or put them in a playlist, this really is a nice bonus for sleep-proof earbuds.

The Tozo Crystal Buds may not have Active Noise Cancelling, but their comfortable fit, vocal-centric sound, and great battery life makes them easily recommended for sleeping-in and sleeping.
